The Western States 100 is the longest run 100 mile endurance run in the US. It might be the most famous 100 mile ultra run.
Listen in as Alex May tells his story of the year he ran this epic event.
There is no easy way to run a 100 mile event and probably everyone that comes to the start line has their own unique challenges. Part of Alex’s challenge is that he’s a Type 1 diabetic. Also the year he ran the race mother nature gave the runners an extra challenge.
